Hello,

Welcome to citizen, not subject! I started this blog as a way to share information concerning moving ourselves to greater personal liberty and freedom from the systems of support that in many ways seem to enslave rather than serve us. I’ll write about things I know, am in the process of learning, or may just be exploring. I am by no means an expert, but I will do my very best not to give you incorrect information, and to correct myself clearly and openly if I do. Please feel free to leave constructive comments and feedback.

From the name, you may think this blog to be political in nature, but it really is not. I frankly believe most politicians, regardless of party affiliation, are NOT acting in our best interest, are really only interested in power and maintaining their position. As such, I prefer not to waste much time discussing them. Now, that being said, an occasional rant may still occur… but I am more interested in discussing ways to circumvent what they are trying to do by making ourselves as independent from the need for the systems they control as possible.

Agriculture, for example, has become so industrial as to be completely unsustainable, and the food produced flat out unhealthy for us.  So let’s discuss gardening, preserving and cooking to provide as much of our own food as possible. The power grid(s) are unreliable, antiquated, and the potential for failure on a massive scale is very real. So let’s discuss alternate means of heating and cooling our homes, and powering vital items.

You get my drift, I think…

My goal is to stay positive and highlight things that can improve our own situation, and not focus on what is beyond our ability to affect.
